INTRO STATEMENT

The experience of life can be overwhelming, isolating, and confusing. I work diligently to meet each client's specific and unique needs to create an environment that provides trust, compassion, and validation. I aim to ensure that each client feels heard, supported, and empowered.

EDUCATION

I am a Troy University graduate with a master's degree in Social Work. I am a licensed LMSW who is currently working for her LCSW. I am also a certified trauma professional whom is EMDR trained with a holistic systems-based perspective.

EXPERIENCE

Within my years of experience, I have worked with adults, the military, youth, families, and groups. I specialize in Depressive Disorders, stress, low self-esteem, anxiety/panic Disorders, issues related to trauma, and grief, plus more to meet your needs.

SPECIALITIES

My current practice focuses on supporting adults and teens in navigating grief, trauma, anxiety, life transitions, and corresponding changes in identity and relationships. My style of therapy is informal, compassionate, and responsive to each person's unique needs. I will guide you to explore your concerns and build a greater understanding of the different aspects of your experience, from the emotional, mental, and physical to the family, social, cultural, and spiritual dimensions. Using a variety of evidence-based techniques, including  EMDR. I can help you reconnect to existing strengths and cultivate additional resources that support progress toward the changes you wish to make. My practice is grounded in person-centered, developmental, and relational-cultural theories, and I will frequently use mindfulness, body-centered, and creative interventions. I consider cultural humility essential to therapeutic practice. My goal is to ensure that strategies and interventions are client driven.
